The Pasadena ISD Board of Trustees approved Dr. Steve Fullen and Dr. Angela Stallings to serve new leadership roles as associate superintendents of campus development.
The Pasadena ISD Board of Trustees approved Dr. Steve Fullen and Dr. Angela Stallings to both serve new leadership roles as associate superintendents of campus development for the 2016-17 school year.
Dr. Fullen has served Pasadena ISD for 21 years. He began his educational career as a bilingual fourth and fifth grade teacher at Kruse in 1995, then a peer facilitator at Pomeroy in 1997. In 2000, he became a bilingual and ESL facilitator through the Alternative Teacher Certification Program.
Dr. Fullen assumed the role of assistant principal at Dobie High from 2002 to 2007 before becoming principal at South Houston High, where he will be finishing out his last semester.
Dr. Fullen holds a bachelor’s degree in
Mexican-American Studies from Concordia Lutheran College and also a master’s
degree in Theology from Concordia Seminar in St. Louis, Missouri. He earned a
doctorate from the University Houston in Educational Leadership and Cultural
Dr. Fullen will fill the position left open by Steve Laymon, associate superintendent of campus development, who will be retiring this year.
A graduate of Dobie, Dr. Stallings has served Pasadena ISD for 25 years. She returned to her alma mater to start her career in education, first as an English teacher from 1991 to 1996, school counselor until 2000 and then assistant principal from 2000 to 2007.
Dr. Stallings assumed the role of principal at Thompson Intermediate for a couple of years before becoming principal of Memorial in 2009.
Dr. Stallings holds a bachelor's degree in English from Lamar University and a master’s degree in educational management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She earned a doctorate from Sam Houston State University in Educational Leadership.
Dr. Stallings’s position of associate superintendent comes after the board decision to reclassify the deputy superintendent role.
Dr. Stallings and Dr. Fullen were elected by district and campus administrators as Pasadena ISD’s secondary principals of the year in 2014 and 2016.
These administrators have already been hard at work with their colleagues preparing for the 2016-17 school year where they will begin their new positions at the administration building.
