Sam Rayburn High School cadets showed support for children with cancer this weekend during the B.I.G (Brooke's Incredible Gift) Love Cancer Care 5K Run in Pearland.
Some cadets extended a helping hand during the run, while others participated in the race with over 800 runners. The cadets that placed in the 5K race are:
- Francisco “Willy” Ortega, who finished first overall in the Male Division and in his age category
- Issac Corona, who finished second overall in the Male Division and in his age category
- Roxanna Luna, who finished first overall in the Female Division and in her age category
B.I.G Love Cancer Care Services is a 501c (3), non-profit, volunteer based organization committed to providing basic necessities and personalized care to child cancer patients and their families.
