DANCE DEPARTMENT

The SHHS Dance Department focuses on learning the basics of a variety of dance styles while having a ton of fun.  This is a year long class with a performance at the end of each semester.  The Dance Department performs in their annual Holiday Show in December and in the Jannette Dance Team Spring Show in May.

In December there will be auditions for placement in the Advanced Dance Class.  This class moves at a faster pase than Dance Class does.  This class is benefitial for anyone wanting to audition for the Janette Dance Team, but is NOT REQUIRED.

Dance class students are responsible for:

*  purchasing a specific dance uniform  

*  being in and participating in class every day

*  maintaining their locker and item security 

*  HAVING FUN!!!

Important Dates

- Thursday, April 18th, 2013 - Jannette Dance Team Audition @ South Houston High School Dance Room @ TBA

- Monday, April 29th, 2013 to Thursday, May 2nd, 2013 - Junior Varsity Dance Team Audition @ South Houston High School Dance @ 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

- Friday, May 10th, 2013 and Saturday, May 11th, 2012 - Jannette Spring Show @ South Houston High School Auditorium @ 7:00 p.m.

-Saturday May 11, 2013 ALL JANNETTE DANCERS will march in the STRAWBERRY PARADE!!!
