The Pasadena Independent School District Police Department entered into an agreement with Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) in July, 1991, for the purpose of providing in-service training to our officers.  This agreement has been instrumental in providing specialized training to school district police officers, and has allowed the Department to prepare the officers to accomplish our stated mission.  Additional training is provided to officers from other agencies across the region.

Pasadena ISD Police Department utilizes in-house trainers in specialized areas, trainers from local academies, and others from across the state to ensure that our officers receive the highest quality of instruction available within budgetary limits.  Each officer receives an average of over 100 training hours per calendar year.  This exceeds the TCLEOSE mandated annual training requirement for an officer to maintain his or her certification by over 500 percent.

Capt. Mario Saldivar is the Department's Training Coordinator.
