The My Report
option allows you to save your filter and sort settings on any report in
TIPWeb. This does
not
save the results of those filters and sorts.
To create a personal report, use the following steps:
1.
Click on
,
located on the Navigation Bar.
2.
From the Select Report Category drop-down menu,
select the report you want to customize.
3.
Click on
(Filter)
for the report you want to customize.
4.
Begin setting the filters and sort.
5.
Click on the
tab
to verify the filters set.
6.
Click on
(Go).
A preview of the report, and the results of the filters and sorts
chosen, is displayed at the bottom of the page.
7.
If this is the report you intended to create, save the filter and
sort settings by clicking on
(Save
My Report Criteria).
8.
Type a descriptive name that is meaningful to you into the
Report Name field of your My Report settings.
9.
Click on
(Save
My Report).
10.
You are returned to the main Reports page. The Select
Report Category is defaulted to the My Reports setting. This
allows you to view your newly added report name under the My Reports
category.
Example
You frequently run a report on back orders for all your
middle school's outstanding campus requisitions. Starting with the
Outstanding Campus Requisitions Report, you usually set three
filters to search by the SLC numbers starting with 6, 7, and 8. To
reduce the size of the report, choose the Show backorders Only
option.
To make this filtering process less time consuming, you can create a
My Report. Use the following steps:
a. Click on
from
the Navigation Bar.
b. Select Campus Reports from the Select Report Category
drop-down menu.
c. Click on
(Filter)
in the Outstanding Campus Requisitions Report row.
d. Under the
tab,
select SLC from the drop-down menu for the first filter.
e. Select Starts With from the drop-down menu for this filter
setting.
f. Type the number 6 into the text field.
g. Click on AND in the center of the page, this allows another
filter option to be set.
h. Select SLC from the drop-down menu for the second filter.
i. Select Starts With from the drop-down menu for this filter
setting.
j. Type the number 7 into the text field.
k. Click on the Show Backorders Only check box.
l. Click on AND on the far right side of the page, this allows
you to set another filter option.
The screen should look similar to this:

m. Under the
tab,
select SLC from the drop-down menu for the third filter.
n. Select Starts With from the drop-down menu for this filter
setting.
o. Type the number 8 into the text field.
The screen should look similar to this:

p. Click on
(Go).
A preview of the report you created and the results of the filters and
sorts chosen are displayed at the bottom of the page.
q. To save these filter settings, click on the
(Save
My Report Criteria).
r. In the My Report settings, type the name
Campus Reqs SLC 6 7 8 backorders only
into the Report Name field.
The screen should look similar to this:

s. Click on
(Save
My Report).
t. You are taken back to the main Reports page with the
Select Report Category defaulted to the My Reports setting.
You can now see your newly added report named Campus Reqs SLC 6 7 8
backorders only under the My Reports category.
The screen should look similar to this:

u. At this point, you can print the report by clicking on
(Print).
