Dobie math teacher Bradley Nguyen teammed with Dobie tennis player Melanie Thompson to win the advanced title in the Staff/Student Tennis Tournament last week.
  Nguyen and Thompson defeated Assistant Princpal Mike Van Essen and Eun Lee in the title match, 8-7, by winning a nine-point tiebreaker. Van Essen and Lee had rallied from a 5-2 deficit.
