THOMPSON IS PHOTOS: Choirs Pile Up Superior Ratings
Friday, April 29th, 2011

The Thompson Intermediate choirs attended the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest at North Shore High recently and came away with several Superior Ratings.
The Varsity Men's Choir and the Varsity Treble Choir each received Superior Ratings in both the Concert and Sightreading portions of the competition and earned Sweepstakes trophies.
The Treble Choir received three Superior Ratings from each part of the contest (three in Concert and three in Sightreading). The Men's Choir received three Superior Ratings in Concert and two Superior and one Excellent Rating in Sightreading.

"All of our students worked extremely hard and we are really proud of what they have accomplished at UIL this year," said George Martin, one of Thompson's Choir Directors.
"This is the second year that the eighth-grade students have experienced a Sweepstakes award. We are looking forward to next year and accomplishing a three-peat."
