The traditional reading of "The Polar Express" at L.F. Smith took on an added dimension this year -- 3D. As shown in the photo below, teachers Morgan Chambellan and Rogelio Guzman used a water bottle to "mist" students during certain portions of the book, which was read aloud by Assistatn Principal Jason Fossati.

Thao Pham, a native of Vietnam, gave a presentation to students at L.F. Smith recently about Vietnamese culture, music and dress. Pham is one of several guest speakers contacted by Michelle Mayes, L.F. Smith's music teacher, to promote cultural awareness, respect and appreciation. The annual Family Fun Night Raffle on Thursday night, Oct. 7, turned out to be another big success. Parents joined students for an evening of math and reading games. Around 300 families turned out, prompting school officials to expand the outdoor event to the school playground. (Below) Rogelio Guzman, L.F.
