Mini-Grant Name: Building Powerful Readers
Abstract: One of the most important goals of a dyslexia and intervention teacher is to provide learning experiences that help all of our struggling readers become strong, powerful and confident readers. The Power Reading Program created by Marie Carbo will help our students reach this goal. After teaching the children how to use the program, they will have the opportunity for individualized reading instruction based on their reading level. The Power Reading Program will build strong readers by strengthening our campus-wide weaknesses in fluency, comprehension and vocabulary in a fun and exciting manner.
