Dobie qualified for the Regional III-5A Team Tennis Championships last weekend by finishing second in the District 22-5A tournament.
  Deer Park defeated the Longhorns 10-2 in the finals to claim the district title. The top two teams advance to the regional round.
  Dobie advanced with a 16-0 victory over Pasadena in the quarter-finals and a 10-1 victory over Memorial in the semifinals. Memorial beat South Houston 12-7 in its quarter-final match.
  Deer Park was host of the event.
