BIG SHOOT OUT: Silva, Flores Break District Records

  Bianca Silva, a sixth-grader at Park View Intermediate, and Jakoby Flores, a fourth-grader at Mae Smythe Elementary, set new district records at the Big Shoot out basketball skills competition held last month.
  Below is a complete list of grade-level winners and their scores.

  Third-grade boys: Jared Tate, Frazier Elementary, 46.8
  Third-grade girls: Vanessa Lam, Freeman Elementary, 50.53
  Fourth-grade boys: Jakoby Flores, Mae Smythe Elementary, 30.48 (new district record)
  Fourth-grade girls: Kemoni Irvin, Williams Elementary, 57.6
  Fifth-grade boys: David Amaya, Melillo Middle School, 42.94
  Fifth-grade girls: Alyssa Jaramillo, Schneider Middle School, 52.7
  Sixth-grade boys: Jonas Varrela, Lomax Middle School, 43.5
  Sixth-grade girls: Bianca Silva, Park View Intermediate, 47.4 (new district record)
