The Pasadena Noon Optimist Club recently announced the winners of its annual Optimist International essay contest with Beverly Hills sweeping the field for the second year in a row. 
  Catherine Thai won the competition with Alexis Jimenez finishing second and Lorissa Saiz third. 
  This year's essay topic was "How My Education is the Key to a Successful Future."
