Forty fourth-graders, all members of the Pearl Hall choir, performed during the Houston Symphony's world-premier performance of "Big Smoke," part of the "The Symphony in Space" family series concerts held at Jones Hall and at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in April. 
  Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield played guitar and sang the solo sections during the performances.
