Bondy has joined forces with the Specials Olympics in campaign to "spread the word to end the word." The campaign has been organized to stop the use of the word "retarded."
Rebecca Kaminski, the Success teacher at Bondy, is leading the charge along with student and teacher volunteers.
On Friday, all Bondy Students will be given the chance to make the pledge to "spread the word to end the word" by signing a strip of paper and chaining it together with their homeroom classes. Each homeroom chain will be linked with the rest of Bondy's homerooms in support of the cause.
