What started out as a persuasive writing project in Mrs. Misty Bryan's class, would soon turn into so much more. Several sixth-grade ELAR students wrote letters persuading others to collect pull tabs in support of the Ronald McDonald House, a charity that recycles the tabs and uses the money for food, cleaning supplies and transportation to and from hospitals for children. Soon, the entire campus, and even neighbor elementary school J.D. Parks Elementary, joined in on the charitable donation. Pictured with the pull tabs collection are Fernando Campos, Selina Ramirez, Genesis Juarez, Karla Hernandez and Marlene Moran.
