This week, Gardens Elementary's fourth grade Student Council hosted a community service project using art to make a difference. These fourth grade students, along with Gardens' fine arts teacher, Kimberly Buskirk, assisted in the first annual Christmas Cards for the Military campaign. Students came before school each day to write and decorate holiday greeting cards that will be sent to troops, via Houston Marine Moms, bringing a little piece of home to them during this Christmas season.
