MOORE ES PRIZE PARADE: Grant to Provide New Kindergarten Technology

Pasadena ISD Education Foundation member Bill Barmore presents a mini-grant check to Moore faculty members Maria Abarca, Lupe Palacios, Patty Parker, Ann Setlow and Shelby Willis.


  PASADENA ISD EDUCATION FOUNDATION MINI-GRANT 
  Applicants: Shelby Willis, Lupe Palacios
  Mini-Grant Name: Technology-Rich Workstation in Kindergarten and Pre-K
  Abstract: With two IPod touches for each Pre-K and kindergarten classroom, each student would have exposure to the devices during workstations, a daily activity during which kindergarteners work in groups of two on various games, skills, and projects. Students would be motivated to use free educational apps and technology that they see in their everyday worlds.  The IPod touches could also be used for individual tutoring at non-station times.  At-risk students, identified from the TPRI and school at-risk list,  would be able to interact with the educational apps daily.
