Tanis McNeil, an eighth-grade history teacher at Bondy Intermediate, has been selected as the Houston Rockets' "Teacher of the Game" and will be honored on Feb. 5 when the Rockets play the Memphis Grizzlies at the Toyota Center.
  Fifteen area teachers will be honored this season for teachers who go "above and beyond the call of duty, as well as inspire their students to succeed in life and school," according to the team's website.
  McNeil (right) will receive two tickets to the game, on-court recognition at halftime, a T-shirt and a $100 gift certificate for classroom supplies.
