Sam Rayburn freshman Josue Montemayor recently finished third overall in Wildlife Forever's State Fish Art Contest. Montemayor will receive a cash award and certificate for his artwork.
The contest, currently celebrating its 14th year as a successful conservation education program, combines art to catch the imagination of students and science to foster discovery of the natural world and increase awareness of and respect for aquatic resources.
