Two South Houston students, Gisselle Guerra and Ceslie Romero (pictured below), have been named finalists in the Aeropostale T-Shirt Contest.
Guerra used an ocean theme for her shirt design.
"I love the sound of the waves because it relaxes me," she said.
Romero used a flowery theme.
"My inspration were poinsettas," she said. "I love them. They are my favorite flowers. I drew a window for my flowers to have sunlight."

Four winners were named in the recent South Houston Elementary Science Fair. Cindy Munoz took the gold medal, Gisselle Guerra and Eric Guerra took silvers, and Alissa Moreno took the bronze. Pictured below are Gisselle Guerra, Eric Guerra, Munoz and Moreno.

Kindergarten students at South Houston staged a Texas-themed program for their parents and family members last week. The show, which featured 103 kindergarteners, attracted an audience of more then 70 parents. The students presented dance numbers, sang and performed skits. Event photo follows.
