Dr. Dixie Melillo Middle School is a 5th and 6th grade campus that serves the students from the following elementary schools:  Burnett, Frazier, a part of Moore, Southbelt, and Stuchbery Elementary Schools.  Melillo MS, home of the Mustangs, first opened its doors in August of 2008 and has been rated as Recognized by the Texas Education Agency for the 2008 - 2012 academic years for our acheivements on state accountability standards such as the TAKS test.

Our school office hours are from 8:00am - 4:30pm.  Students have classes from 8:40am - 4:00pm. 

As you prepare for the school year, we would like to provide you with the following important dates, links, and information so that you are best prepared for the start of school at Melillo MS. 

SUMMER INFORMATION

1.  Click the link on the left to view the 2013 - 2014 school dress code & school supply list.

2.  Early registration for new students to Melillo's zone is on Wednesday, August 14th from 8:00am - 5:00pm and on Thursday, August 15th from 8:00am - 3:00pm.  Please be sure to bring proof of residence, a current utility bill, and up-to-date immunization records for your child. Also, we need to have your child's social security card, birth certificate, withdrawal form/last report card, state test scores, and any legal documentation, if applicable. 

3.  5th & 6th Grade Meet the Teacher Night will be on Friday, August 23rd from 4-6pm.  Please come meet your child's teacher and tour the school anytime between 4-6pm.  Students may bring their school supplies on this day instead of the first day of school.

4.  5th Grade Student Orientation will be on Monday, August 26th from 8:30am - 11:30am.  Students will get to learn about Melillo expecations and will get a more detailed tour of the building.  This is for students only.  Parents will need to provide transportation to and from this event.
