Dr. Dixie Melillo Middle School is a 5th and 6th grade campus that serves the students from the following elementary schools:  Burnett, Frazier, a part of Moore, Southbelt, and Stuchbery Elementary Schools.  Melillo MS, home of the Mustangs, first opened its doors in August of 2008 and has been rated as Recognized by the Texas Education Agency for the 2008 - 2012 academic years for our acheivements on state accountability standards such as the TAKS test.

Our school office hours are from 8:00am - 4:30pm.  Students have classes from 8:40am - 4:00pm. 

As you prepare for the school year, we would like to provide you with the following important dates, links, and information so that you are best prepared for the start of school at Melillo MS. 

1. If your child needs to be registered to Melillo for 2012-2013, please be at the school at 8:00AM so that your child may be enrolled on that day.  Please click HERE to see what items should be provided at the time of registration.

2.  Please visit the link "2012-2013 Melillo's Documents & Newsletters" on the left side menu.  You will find many important documents that will help you prepare your student for the new school year and to understand our policies and procedures that we have in place for your child's safety and academic achievement.

Please review the new school dress code.  There have been some changes for the 2012-2013 school year.

 3.  Please visit the link "Parent Links" on the left side menu.  You will find many important links such as:  Parent Connect, Bus Route Finder, Nutrikids, and Online Application for Free and Reduced Lunch.

Deadline for the Free and Reduced Application is October 11, 2012.
