Meeting are usually held every other Monday evening from 5:30pm- 6:30pm.
 



The Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) chapter at J. Frank Dobie is called the Longhorn Council. Longhorn Council is the leadership training organization on campus. Longhorn Council is open to students wanting to actively participate at J. Frank Dobie and the surrounding community through service projects. Longhorn Council participates in the TASC state and district organization meetings, camps, conventions and programs.

 

To become a member, you must complete an application, have and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA, as well as have an exemplary discipline record. In order to remain a member, you must meet or exceed the participation requirements set forth by the Council. First year Freshmen are granted automatic probationary membership until after the Fall semester. After the Fall semester, they will fall under the above requirements to receive ACTIVE status. If you are interested in joining Lognhorn Student Council or have any questions please see Ms. Bond in Room 254 or Mr. Evans in Room 253. Meeting are usually held every other Monday evening from 5:30pm- 6:30pm.
