| Is there a Web Mastering II Class? |
Yes, there is a Web II Class. This class is an HONORS class where premium points are given.
This class learns true HTML5, XML, and JavaScript (programming) using Notepad. No HTML editors are used in this class.
The main function of this class is to learn the above stated programming and to update the Dobie web site.
Prerequisite: Web Mastering I with an A average, and approval of the teacher. Class size is limited to no more than 20 students.
Students use the skills that were learned in Web Tech to update the Dobie website. They will also use new programming languages in HTML5 and JavaScript to create websites. In addition to updating the Dobie website, Web 2 is learning HTML5 programming code – the newest programming code for websites using a new online website that was suggested by Texas Computer Education Association. Its core aims have been to improve the language with support for the latest multimedia while keeping it easily readable by humans and consistently understood by computers and devices. No special media players are needed. They will also learn JavaScript programming code which is normally inserted into HTML coding. JavaScript is the most popular scripting language in the world. It is the standard language of the web, and widely used in servers, desktops, and mobile phones. It enhances the page to make it interactive like Google Docs and Webmonkey. These skills will be invaluable if these students go on to build or work in a business in web design or any other tech job. |
