Chevron Phillips Chemical surprised Kruse Elementary students in Pasadena ISD with a special campus visit recently for Fire Prevention Week. More than 350 students in pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade got a first-hand lesson in fire safety and emergency response thanks to members of Chevron Phillips Chemical’s Emergency Response Team in Pasadena who volunteered to visit the school and teach the students in four 45-minute presentations.  READ MORE... about Kruse Elementary students learn about fire safety from chemical plant volunteers

Pam Wallace Jones, a 1965 graduate of South Houston High School and social media manager for the school’s alumni association, has been named the recipient of the 2017 David M. Ainsworth Alumni Spirit Award. Pasadena High School culinary arts teacher Santos Macias was recently named one of the top five finalists in the 2018 National Association for Alternative Certification’s (NAAC) Outstanding New Educator competition.
