More than 530 employees and community members participated in Pasadena ISD’s annual Human Resources Health and Wellness Fair at the Lewis Career and Technical High School, March 30.
“It’s our goal to ensure that employees understand the services available to them regarding wellness offerings in the community,” Cecilia Beltran, event organizer said.
Representatives from over 40 vendors shared information about services offered to employees in the local area. These vendors included: Aetna, Bayshore Medical, Memorial Hermann, Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union, Pasadena Eye Associates, ABC Dental, Whitney Miller Insurance and more.
Employees also received various health and wellness screenings including blood pressure, glucose and vision tests.
The fair has grown consistently since 2007, when it was hosted at Phillip’s Field House. This is the second year the Health and Wellness Fair has been hosted at the Lewis CTHS.
“Employees have continued to receive incentives at the event for the past three years and we think that’s what keeps bringing them back.” Beltran said.
