Dobie High School art students scared up the most votes in the high school division at John P. McGovern Museum of Health and Medical Science at their annual Siege of the Skeletons art contest.

This year’s theme was By-Gone Bones, meaning students were asked to base their art on their favorite historical figure or a famous time period in history. The Dobie students’ impressive sculpture, currently on display at the museum, is made of recycled cardboard and papier-mache and is inspired by the bird doctors from the Black Plague.
