Eight Students Earn Positions on Texas All-State Musical Ensemble

Eight Pasadena ISD students earned top spots with the prestigious Texas All-State Musical Ensemble over the weekend, one of the highest honors musicians can achieve at the high school level.

“We are proud of these students for their hard work and effort to make it to this level of achievement,” said Linda Fletcher, Pasadena ISD director of Fine Arts.

Only 1,700 students were selected out of 64,000 statewide, who vied for a position in one of 15 ensembles, including band, orchestra and choir.

The students will represent Pasadena ISD as they perform with the Texas All-State Band and Choir in San Antonio, February 8-11 as part of the 2016 Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/Convention.
