The Pasadena ISD Board of Trustees will announce a lone finalist for the superintendent position during a special called meeting Wednesday, Nov.4, at noon in the board room of the district’s administration building, 1515 Cherrybrook Lane, Pasadena, 77502.
Trustees began a focused search for Superintendent of Schools in September after the current leader, Dr. Kirk Lewis, notified them of his intention to retire at year’s end. Consultants, David Thompson and Mike Moses have assisted the Board in the search process.
The state of Texas requires school districts to adhere to a 21-day waiting period after a finalist is named. Following the 21 days, the district may officially offer the candidate a contract.
Dec. 8 the Board will approve the new Superintendent of Schools’ contract.
The new superintendent will assume duties in Pasadena ISD Jan. 15, 2016.
