The South Houston High School Alumni Association is joining Harvey relief efforts and will be donating all proceeds from the 60th Anniversary Birthday Bash, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 6, to help families in the community impacted by flooding.

The celebration, scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at Marriott Houston South Hobby Airport Hotel, will welcome generations of graduates, faculty members and local residents, all of whom have become part of South Houston High’s long-standing history.

“We have seen many homes in the area damaged by Harvey floods. We want to pull our resources and come together to not only celebrate our alma mater, but show that we care about our neighbors, our friends, our community,” said Diane Phelan, SHHS alumni association president. “We are Trojan Strong, and that means we will do our best to be there to support one another.”

To join in the effort to support families who have been impacted by Harvey flooding in the South Houston area, please make plans to attend the 60th Anniversary Birthday Bash. Tickets are now on sale through the PayPal link. Advance tickets are $45 and $55 at the door. Attendees must be 18 years or older.
