SHHS seniors honored as Junior Rotarians of the Month

At a luncheon ceremony, the Pasadena South Rotary recently honored South Houston High School seniors Gerardo Garcia and Kimberly Garza as Junior Rotarians of the Month.

Garcia is a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club and the school’s marching band, where he is the head drum major. He has received the Academic Excellence award for earning all A’s each semester. After high school, Garza plans to earn a master of music degree and become a music instructor.

Garza is ranked in the top 10 of her class. She is a member of the National Hispanic Honor Society, National Honor Society and orchestra. She also received the Academic Excellence award. After Garza graduates from South Houston, she plans to attend the University of Houston to study business in hopes of one day becoming a CEO or treasurer.
