The Texas Education Agency released information, Friday, June 10, that students in grades 5 and 8 will not be required to pass the math and reading STAAR assessments for the 2015-2016 school year for promotion to the next grade. Students are no longer required to retest on June 21 and June 22.

Pasadena ISD students currently enrolled in summer school should continue classes.

Any student who did not pass math and/or reading for the school year and is attending summer school to regain credit for that course will continue attendance. Students must be present each day to receive credit required to be promoted to the next grade.

For questions, please contact the student’s summer school campus.
