D-SHAC

A School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is a school board appointed advisory group of individuals who represent different segments of the community. By law, a majority of the members must be persons who are parents of students enrolled in the district and who are not employed by the district. The Pasadena ISD SHAC is made up of parents, community members and district employees working together to improve the health of all students and families through coordinated school health and wellness programs.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Pasadena ISD SHAC is to promote and advocate for a healthy school community through a whole child approach to empower all students, staff and families with the skills to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  The SHAC will work collaboratively to recommend programs, policies and resources that provide all students and staff the opportunity to be healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged.
