Registration Dates for 2017-2018

Pre-K Registration: Tuesday, August 8

Registration for all grades: Wednesday & Thursday, August 9-10

First Day of School:

First day of school for FRESHMEN ONLY: Friday, August 18

First day of school for ALL students: Monday, August 21

Early Registration Dates:

Registration takes place at each individual campus, and exact times may vary.

Schools are assigned on the basis of residential address. To enroll a child in school, the district requires that you have the following information to present to school personnel:

Required documents:

A current lease, rental agreement, deed, mortgage payment booklet; and,

A current utility bill (water, gas, electric, land-line phone); and,

A record of immunizations showing that the child has current immunizations

Birth certificate (original or certified copy) is required for Prekindergarten, Kindergarten, and all new PISD students under 11 years of age  

Requested but not required documents:

Birth certificate (original or certified copy)   

Withdrawal record or report card from previous school

Any legal documents (adoption order, divorce decree, CPS orders etc.)

Please note:  If your residence or housing is uncertain, you lack a permanent physical address, or live at a temporary address, you can still enroll in school.  Contact the school's attendance clerk or school district's homeless liaison office at 713-740-0250 for more information.

In-District Transfer Students:   If you are interested in obtaining a student transfer for your child from one Pasadena ISD school to another, you will need to complete The In District Transfer Form and submit the application to:

  • the school you would like your student to attend for elementary and middle school students, or
  • the school the student is zoned to attend for intermediate and high school students
