Pasadena Independent School District Sick Leave Bank 2014 Enrollment

The annual enrollment period for the Pasadena Independent School District Sick Leave Bank is September 1, 2014, thru September 30, 2014.  Employees who have been employed by the school district for at least one year and who earn sick leave are eligible to join. 

The effective date of membership for all employees enrolling at this time will be October 1, 2014. Membership applications may be obtained from the office at your payroll location.  If you are interested in joining the Bank, please review the guidelines found at www.pasadenaisd.org under Human Resources; the necessary SLB forms are also online. 

The Sick Leave Bank is currently accepting nominations for elementary, intermediate and high school TEACHER representatives; if you are interested in serving on the SLB Board of Directors please pick up the nomination form from your payroll location secretary. Pasadena Cohort
Have you been contemplating an advanced degree in educational management, but didn’t want to hassle the commute to campus? Well, the time to act is now. The University of Houston-Clear Lake School of Education will offer a Pasadena cohort at the Braden Education Center in the Orozco Professional Development Complex starting this fall. Interested students can enroll for a Master of Science in Educational Management with Principal Certification, or for a Master of Science inEducational Management with Principal Certification and Reading Specialist Certification.
Classes will be held on Monday evenings. The majority of courses will be taught in the hybrid model that includes approximately 40 percent online work and the remainder as face-to-face meetings. With the master’s program requirement of 39 semester hours, it is possible for students who start the program this August to complete the degree by fall 2016.
