  • $435,000 in planned renovations
  • Restroom renovation (1)
  • Replace entry doors for added security
  • Improve electrical service to classrooms for added technology.
  • Replace air-handlers for kitchen and cafeteria to improve air circulation.
  • Replace boiler.
  • Atkinson students will benefit from conversion of Morris Fifth Grade Center into a middle school serving fifth and sixth graders.

Impact on Bailey

  • $1.19 million designated for renovations
  • Build office addition and internal renovations for security entrance.
  • Renovate a restroom and plumbing.
  • Replace entry doors and improve exterior lighting for added security.
  • Add parking to maximize space.
  • Improve site drainage
  • Improve electrical service to campus and its classrooms.

Impact at Burnett

  • $473,000 designated for renovations.
  • Replace entry doors and upgrade exterior lighting for added security.
  • Replace air-handling units and boiler. Improve air-circulation and treatment to control indoor air quality.
  • Replace interior lighting and ceiling tiles in classrooms to brighten learning environment.
  • Upgrade electrical service in classrooms where needed.
  • Burnett students will benefit from the Thompson area middle school to be built on extension of Hughes Road.
  • Burnett students will benefit from the 500 student addition to Dobie High School

Impact at DeZavala

  • DeZavala will be converted to a middle school serving fifth and sixth grade students Kruse, Richey, Morales and Gardens.

Impact at Fisher

  • $963,000 designated for renovations.
  • Renovate restroom (1)
  • Replace entry doors and exterior lighting to improve security.
  • Improve air-condition and circulation to control indoor air quality and reduce humidity.
  • Install bus/auto canopy, and increase parking.
  • Replace ceiling tiles and interior lighting to improve classroom environment.
  • Replace rooftop a/c units and hot water heater.
  • Provide additional roof drainage.
  • Replace stage lighting.

Impact to Frazier

  • $575,000 designated for renovations.
  • Replace entry doors and exterior lighting to improve security.
  • Replace air-handling units to improve air circulation.
  • Replace ceiling tiles and interior lighting to improve the classroom environment.
  • Frazier students will benefit also from the construction of an elementary school in Riverstone Ranch, a middle school on Hughes Road and for the addition at Dobie.

  • $1.095 million designated for renovations.

  • Replace interior lighting in kitchen, stage and classrooms for improved learning environment.
  • Upgrade electrical service to provide for more technology.

  • $1.05 million in renovations including:
  • Restroom renovation.
  • Replace entry doors and exterior lighting for additional security.
  • Asbestos abatement and replacement of flooring, ceiling tile.
  • Replace interior lighting to improve classroom environment.
  • Upgrade air-handlers and chillers for air-conditioning system
  • Electrical upgrades in classrooms

Impact to Jessup

  • New elementary school on Blackhawk, north of Fuqua, will relieve Jessup of its crowded classrooms.
  • New Middle School will serve Jessup area.
  • Renovations at Jessup include safety and security measures with new entry doors, improved exterior lighting.
  • Add more staff and parent parking.

Impact to Kruse

  • A new campus will be built for Kruse Elementary School within the neighborhood.
  • Kruse will benefit from the conversion of DeZavala Fifth Grade Center to a Middle School serving fifth and sixth grade students.
