Pasadena ISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kirk Lewis is hosting a book signing event at Barnes and Noble in Pasadena on Tuesday, July 14 from 5-8 p.m. to launch his second book, The Chase: Our Passionate Pursuit of Life Worth Living.

The book is written as a New Testament companion piece to the Lewis’ first release, Put Away Childish Things, which won third place in the Bible Study category of the spring 2014 Christian Writers Award Contest.

Lewis, who also serves as a deacon at South Main Baptist Church, delves more deeply into the lives of those who encountered Jesus during the course of his ministry in this latest release.

The Chase refers to the countless number of those who sought after Jesus in search of belonging, discernment, peace, personal revival, prayerful worship and so much more.

“In The Chase, you’ll meet familiar New Testament characters like Nicodemus and the Woman at the Well,” Lewis said. “Even though their documented encounters with Jesus were brief, the results were long-lasting and life-changing.”
