Special Education Department Invites Families to Participate in Community Fair for Helpful Information, Resources for Students

The Pasadena ISD Special Programs department will host the annual Transition Fair from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28 at Pasadena High School, 206 South Shaver. The event is designed to help students who receive special education services prepare for life after high school.

 

Representatives from several local private and public agencies will be on hand to provide information and resources to families. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about vocational training programs, special education services offered in college, how to receive additional support assistance, independent living opportunities and more.

Families will also get a chance to win door prizes from It’z Family, Fitness, Fun, Johnny Tamale, Chick-fil-A, Peter Piper Pizza, Cinemark Theater and Taquerias Arandas.

Last year’s Transition Fair attracted over 650 Pasadena ISD families, along with volunteers and representatives from 36 local agencies, colleges and school programs.
