The Pasadena ISD HOSTS program recently celebrated their 25th anniversary with a thank you breakfast at the Carmen Orozco Professional Development Center to honor the program’s volunteer mentors.

HOSTS, or Helping One Student To Succeed, is a nationally recognized program that pairs a student who needs help learning to read and write with a community member who wants to make a difference in a student's life. With help from volunteer mentors, students receive the extra attention and encouragement they need to enhance their learning experiences.

The mentors received certificates and gifts for their years of service in the HOSTS program and were recognized by the principal of the campus where they volunteer.
