Both the 2D and 3D awards announcement will be made at the March 8th Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Awards Ceremony, when the students will find out if they have advanced to the Auction round.

Additionally, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo sponsored another student opportunity entitled the Quick Draw Contest. Students in grades 6-12 submitted a 50-minute sketch in one of two categories at the high school or junior high level. Once chosen as a finalist, the students competed in a live 50-minute drawing during the course of the rodeo.

Quick Draw Finalists were:

Emily Marroquin                              Pasadena Memorial HS

Congratulations to these students and their teachers.
