For the second consecutive year, Rick Schneider Middle School has been named a CREST award recipient for excellence in school counseling.
The Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas (CREST) award recognizes schools that demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of students in academic, career and personal social domains using the school guidance and counseling program.
Schneider is one of only 101 schools in Texas to receive the award for this year, after being one of only 70 campuses selected in 2017.
To be eligible for this award, school counseling programs must provide evidence of success in helping students succeed in these seven key areas.
