Pasadena ISD announces results from school board election

The results of the Pasadena Independent School District Board of Trustees election are in and all incumbents were successful in their bid for re-election. Results are unofficial until they are canvassed by the board at an upcoming Board meeting.

umbent Kenny Fernandez  defeated challengers Jose A. Cazares and Chad Sullivan for the Position 5 seat. Fernandez received 39.40 percent of the vote (1,844 total votes) to Cazares’ 33.73 percent of the vote (1,576 total votes) and Sullivan received 26.80 percent of the vote (1,257 total votes). In the Position 6 race, incumbent Marshall Kendrick defeated challenger Al Bledsoe receiving 67.67 percent of the vote (3,100 total votes) to Bledsoe’s 32.33 percent of the vote (1,481 total votes). Incumbent Vickie Morgan will hold on to her Position 7 seat, significantly defeating challenger Yen Rabe. Morgan received 79.11 percent of the vote (3,699 total votes) to Rabe’s 20.89 percent of the vote (977 total votes).
