Pasadena ISD is proud to announce their participation in the annual Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo Trail Ride.

From September 5-6, Pasadena ISD, in collaboration with the city of Pasadena, will visit area schools while on horseback, to kick off the annual Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo. During trail stops, students will have the opportunity to take pictures with the horses, pet them and learn more about the activities offered at the rodeo.

Riders will visit the following schools and community points of interest:

Dobie High School
Moore Elementary School
Frazier Elementary School
Stuchbery Elementary School
Burnett Elementary School
San Jacinto College
St. Juan Diego Church
Sparks Elementary School
Pomeroy Elementary School
Gardens Elementary School
Morales Elementary School
Plaza Paseo Mall

One of the main features of the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo is the parade. This year’s parade marks the 70th anniversary of the event. Superintendent of schools Dr. DeeAnn Powell has been chosen to serve as the Grand Marshal. The show and rodeo hosts other events such as the Annual BBQ Cookoff, the Jr. Chili Cookoff, musical performances, livestock showings, a beauty pageant and much more.

The Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo annually provides scholarships to students in PISD, along with students in neighboring districts, in the categories of Agriculture, Non-Agriculture and Continued Learning. Last year, the show and rodeo provided scholarships for 37 high school students and other community members to further their education.
