Hunter Watson Fund

Purpose: To young people enabling them to follow their dreams, to think outside the box and pursue their visions.
Note: Applicants must be 16 years old and not more than 26 at the time of submission of application.
Award: $500 -$5,000

Ways To Help

Application Deadline: Ongoing
Purpose: To engage, inspire and enable high school students to make a positive difference in the world. Grants for youth-initiated and youth-led ideas for either single events or ongoing programs addressing 16 of today’s most pressing issues, such as saving the environment, improving conditions in their communities, and helping people in need.
NOTE: Must be no older than 19 to apply for this grant.  Grant requests are reviewed and responded to on a monthly basis. 
Award: $500

Karma for Cara Foundation Micro-grants

Application Deadline: Ongoing
Purpose: Grants in the form of store gift cards for youth to complete service projects in their communities, such as turning a vacant lot into a community garden, rebuilding a school playground or helping senior citizens get their homes ready for winter, or whatever project applicants are passionate about.
Award: $250 to $1,000 in the form of gift cards to home goods stores, office supply stores, grocery food chains, and toy stores

Everyday Young Hero Award

Nomination Deadline: Ongoing (weekly)
: Each week, YSA highlights a young person (age 5 – 25) who has found their voice, taken action, and mobilized their peers to make an impact on a vital community issue. Projects may be developed in or outside of the classroom, in conjunction with an organization or religious institution, or be an initiative or organization started on his or her own or with their peers. 
Awards: Winners receive a congratulatory letter, certificate of recognition, and are highlighted in YSA's newsletter and on, via social media

President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA)
Source: Corporation for National & Community Service (a Federal agency)
Purpose: Recognizes volunteers who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime. The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of service achievement. Awards are issued by approved Certifying Organizations:

Young Artists Prize (2016)

2017 Application Period (for 2018 Award): Opens Spring 2017
Purpose: Provides emerging artists (ages 15-18 or grades 10-12) with opportunities to work with renowned mentors, access to significant scholarships, national recognition, and other opportunities to help ensure that the nation’s most outstanding young artists are encouraged to pursue a career in the arts.
Awards: Up to $10,000 cash awards plus other opportunities and/or recognition

Small Steps in Speech Grants

Application Deadline:  August 1, 2018
Purpose: To better serve children with speech and language disorders, Small Steps in Speech will accept applications on behalf of children between 3 and 22 years of age at the time of the application deadline and families with a combined household income under $125,000 and will no longer accept applications from organizations.
