New Teachers

Welcome to the Pasadena Independent School District (PISD) work family! We are delighted you have chosen to work in our district where we’re dedicated to providing the very best education for our students.

PISD views ongoing professional learning as a primary way to ensure strong student achievement. The Board of Trustees requires 24 hours of Effective Teaching Practices (ETP) for all teachers new to Pasadena ISD.

You have one year from your hire date to complete these hours. We’ll help you get a strong start on this contract requirement by providing key trainings in August. These courses will provide the foundation essential to success during your first few months in the classroom. Please see the attached schedule for details and registration links.

Please complete the following steps to register for your August trainings:

  1. Complete your benefits paperwork in Human Resources, once your appointment is scheduled.
  2. Secure your Username and Password for your Pasadena ISD accounts during your benefits session in Human Resources.
  3. Set up your eduphoria profile. Eduphoria is the platform our district uses for managing professional development, lesson plans, and appraisals.

Directions for setting up your eduphoria! profile.

If you need assistance in setting up your profile and/or registering for you courses, you may visit your campus, or we will assist you at the Braden Educational Support Center in the Carmen Orozco Professional Development Complex.

Thank you for choosing Pasadena ISD. We are honored you’ve joined us!
