Pasadena's Marwin Pereira scored the winning touchdown on a two-yard run with 19 seconds left as the Eagles treated a homecoming crowd to a 35-30 victory over South Houston on Friday night at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Pereira piled up a game-high 126 yards on 22 carries and scored three TDs to lead the Eagles to two comebacks in the contest.

The Trojans led 27-7 at halftime, scoring four straight TDs after the Eagles had jumped to a 7-0 lead on a four-yard TD run by quarterback Valor Ojeda.

The Eagles first comeback featured a three-TD blitz in less than a seven-minute span that carried into the open minute of the fourth quarter.

Pereira scored on a three-yard run, Ojeda scored from 11 yards out and Pereira tied the game at 27-27 on a two-yard run 36 seconds into the fourth quarter.

Uriel Hill's PAT kick then gave Pasadena a 28-27 edge.

The Trojans reclaimed the lead with 3:26 left in the game on a 26-yard field goal by Rudy Marban before Pereira's two-yard plunge with 19 seconds remaining won it.

The Eagles now stand 2-3 in District 22-6A action and 3-4 overall. South Houston fell to 2-4 in district play and 2-6 overall.
