Dobie seniors Rashaad Randall and Chris Washington combined for 294 yards rushing and five touchdowns as the Longhorns treated a homecoming crowd to the school’s first victory of the season after four losses.
The Eagles fell to 2-4 for the season and 1-3 in District 22-6A play.
Dobie’s intent to dominate the game was apparent from the start. The Longhorns faked PAT attempts following two of their first three TDs and made both. Dobie held a 23-7 lead at halftime and padded it with three more TDs in the second half.
The Eagles’ only score came on an 81-yard scamper by Marwin Pereiera after taking a short pass from quarterback Valor Ojeda. The TD cut Dobie’s first-quarter lead to 8-7, but the Longhorns scored the last 36 points of the game.
Randall piled up 209 yards on 13 carries and scored on runs of 1, 5 and 52 yards.
Washington added 85 yards on 10 carries. He scored on runs of 22 and 14 yards.
Ojeda paced Pasadena’s offense with 117 yards rushing on 27 carries.
