And Oilers quarterback Jake Blumrick finished the first half with a pair of TD passes, one of 18 yards to Daniel Petty and the second a 27-yard strike to Butler.

Blumrick added an 11-yard TD strike to Ryan Diaz midway through the third quarter.

Trailing 35-2, the Longhorns chalked up their only TD on a 25-yard run by Chris Washington late in the third quarter. But Pearland responded with a pair of rushing TDs in the fourth, one a 34-yarder by Butler and the other a 14-yarder by Eric Boudreaux.

Butler ran for 150 yards on 16 carries and added 50 yards on three receptions. Dobie quarterback Joe Gonzalez led the Longhorns’ offense with 71 yards rushing.

Dobie stands 0-3 for the season. Pearland, ranked eighth in the state, improved to 3-0.
