VOLLEYBALL: Lady Mavs Blitz Baytown Lee on Good Night for Pasadena ISD

Memorial was one of four Pasadena ISD schools to claim its first victory of the volleyball season on Tuesday night. For the Lady Mavs, it was a fast-track 3-0 sweep.
Senior Aidenn Kolar supplied 12 kills as Memorial cruised to a 25-16, 25-20, 25-15 home victory over Baytown Lee.
Sam Rayburn, Pasadena and South Houston also won for the first time.
The Lady Texans turned back Galveston Ball 3-1 (25-21, 25-21, 21-25), the Lady Eagles whipped Waltrip 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-12), and the Lady Trojans took down Houston Chavez 3-0 (26-16, 25-21, 25-13).
For Rayburn, Cammie Zayed, Desarae Flores and Cianna Hall combined for 49 kills. Ranesha Gibson paced the Lady Trojans with eight kills.
Memorial is now 1-1 for the season. Pasadena, South Houston and Rayburn are all 1-2.
All five Pasadena ISD schools will compete in the Dickinson Tournament beginning on Thursday.
