Get Involved with our District

Community involvement is an essential thread in the educational fabric. Education works best when our teachers, administrators, parents, community members and business leaders support each other in our efforts to educate children. The Partners in Pasadena program strives to make a positive impact on students. Pasadena Independent School District is made up of 63 schools that serve more than 52,000 students in the Pasadena community. The students in Pasadena ISD are just as eager to learn as we are to teach them. Together, we can engage the community in the educational process and help our students make connections that bring classroom instruction to life. The students today are the work forces of tomorrow.

We depend on you, our community members to be a part of the education of our students. We have many ways in which you can be involved...the sky is the limit!

Here are just some of the ways you can make a difference!

HOSTS MENTORS - tutor elementary students who need help with reading
and math.

BUSINESS/COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS - get involved by supporting the Pasadena Schools through donations, resources, or volunteering.

CAMPUS VOLUNTEERS - are needed in areas such as the library, clinic and/or classroom.

EDUCATION FOUNDATION SUPPORTERS - donate time, resources and money to the foundation for teacher mini-grants.

SPEAKER'S BUREAU - members share life experiences in the classroom or for
school wide Career Day. These are ways that you can get involved as a speaker
for Pasadena ISD.

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT VOLUNTEERS - share their work experiences and help students get better prepared for the future.

COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS - provides intermediate school students with a
one-to-one mentoring relationship. Students receive academic as well as structured enrichment activities once a week after school.
